Should I not use condom if I take PrEP pill daily?

Oral PrEP is a terrific HIV prevention tool. It doesn’t reduce risk of chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis or herpes. Male and female condoms do. Comprehensive access to PrEP, condoms, Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision, voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC), communication and counseling makes prevention work for all.

Getting Started

Before beginning the course, undergo HIV test to become sure you are not infected already.

PrEP can be prescribed only by a medical practitioner in India as of now.

So, contact your nearest medical provider to get tested for STIs. For maximum efficacy, PrEP must be taken on a daily basis

You have to get HIV test done in every three months while you are on PrEP

Unlike HIV treatment, PrEP is normally taken only for periods of weeks, months or a few years when the person is feels vulnerability and risk
